The SRD Music Fest returns to North Indian Trail, just as life returns to normal! Get ready to drive up, tune in, and camp out, surrounded by the beautiful, tree-studded rolling hills just northwest of Spokane. The event is Friday-Sunday, May 14-16, 2021. This time we're having fun for a worthy cause: helping our friend Jesse fight cancer. Tailgate to live music and check out local vendors while enjoying plenty o' home cookin'. We are pleased to present Tim "Too Slim" Langford and Celebrate with Peter Rivera as our Saturday evening headliners!

Peter Rivera was the original lead singer and drummer of Motown's own Rare Earth. That's his voice and rhythm on "Get Ready," "I Just Want to Celebrate," "(I Know I'm) Losing You," and many other classics. He has settled down in the Inland Northwest and still performs live, blowing people away with his energy and charisma. On Saturday around sunset, Peter Rivera will be back on the kit and the mic, joined by the Celebrate band, some of the area's finest musicians, along with a meet-and-greet.

Tim "Too Slim" Langford is a national blues rock legend. This Spokane native has made a name for himself touring with his band the Taildraggers for decades, releasing 14 studio albums including last year's The Remedy. They're in Nashville these days, gearing up for more action as the world reopens. We're happy to bring Tim back to the Spokane area for a couple captivating solo sets. On Friday evening, guitar master Tim "Too Slim" Langford will play a laid-back VIP Down Home Cookin' dinner set and meet-and-greet for a limited gathering. Then on Saturday evening, he'll go into high-octane mode for the general audience.

All three days will feature local and regional singer-songwriters plus classic & alt country, freakified-folk, rock 'n' roll, Americana, fusion, and jam bands, all focusing on original songs. Check back later to see artist order and time listings:

☆The SRD Music Fest ends Sunday at 4:21pm.

On the same grounds immediately following the SRD Music Fest will be a celebration of the life of Tommy Gantt, whom we lost in March. Known to many as "Tommy G from the 509," he gained a big following over the last dozen years in Spokane and beyond as a singer-songwriter, leader of the Nug Jug Band, and a musical community leader. His love Beth Heart will lead the memorial service starting at 4:21 pm. All are welcome to attend free of charge.

For all three days, you can indulge in an amazing full-service outdoor restaurant by CAPT COOKS (Levi Faidley) in addition to other excellent food vendors. In fact, vendors of all kinds from around the area will be on site to showcase their creative works.

We've all had a rough year, but our friend Jesse Horrelbeke (Rivera) was hit especially hard with a cancer diagnosis. This Coeur d'Alene native is doing incredibly well, but treatment is costly, and he's had to pull back from his job and passion at J. Alan Paul Photography. We want to help out, so proceeds from every ticket will go to Jesse's cancer fund. His dad Peter will rock the main stage on Saturday with pride. We're here for you, brother Jesse!

SRD has stood for the foot-stompin' Spokane band "Sweet Rebel D." for over a dozen years, but since last year it's also represented "Socially Responsible Distancing." As we get closer to regular life, we will still follow the WA covid mandates applicable at the time. If you want an extra social distance with a view of the main stage, you can opt for the real Drive-in Experience: spaces are severely limited! Pull your vehicle in and listen windows-down to Jeff Angel's pristine sound system, or tune in via your FM stereo! Our radio transmitter covers only the festival grounds. We'll let you know the frequency at the event. Disposable masks will be sold cheaply, and hand sanitizer will be provided. Outhouses and hand-washing stations will be on site. Everyone will sign a release form upon entry and receive a bracelet.

Once again, veterans with military I.D. get in for free on Saturday! Children 12 and under get in free Fri-Sun when accompanied by an adult.

The following ticket prices (cash only) are per person age 13+, and good for all three days of music with FREE CAMPING on Friday and Saturday nights:
